Weam is a passionate wellness activist dedicated to amplifying marginalized voices and reshaping narratives for minority groups across Canada and the South West Asia and North Africa (SWANA) region. Weam has championed initiatives that integrate advocacy, holistic wellness, and community empowerment. With a background in engineering from Toronto Metropolitan University, and energy management from University of Toronto they started their career journey in Engineering Consulting, and Project Management, working for four years on Canadian provincial and federal government projects.

In 2021, Weam transitioned their career into holistic life coaching, launching Meditate for Change (MFC) campaign, and merging the disciplines of meditation, hypnosis, somatic movement, and energy healing. MFC made way for KaYan Community, which provides accessible transformative and empowerment tools for marginalized communities. In 2022, Weam spearheaded the development of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) programs at Impact Resolutions, training over 600 individuals, organizations, community centres, and healthcare providers to foster inclusive spaces for minorities across Canada. At the end of 2022, Weam launched the Advocacy Lab at Helem, a groundbreaking project advancing advocacy for minorities in the SWANA region and beyond. In early 2024, they began facilitating YSMENA SMART research Study at Western University which combines ACE, mindfulness, and community resilience, to test their effects on queer people of color in overcoming stigma and barriers to accessing mental health and STI services in Ontario.
